Small and compact. That’s the first impression bila saya tengok buku Zig Ziglar ni. Kecil dan nipis. Agak rare sedikit bila tengok buku nipis macam ni. 

Saya tertarik dengan tajuk dia.

Menjual itu kerja yang mulia. Jangan takut untuk menjual. 

Dalam buku ni Zig Ziglar berkongsi pengalaman dia menjual dan tips untuk menjadi sales professional. 

Jadi apa benefits jadi sales professional ni? 

Problem solving

Zig Ziglar ada cakap dalam buku ni,

“With the possible exceptions of medicine and the ministry, no one is in as good a position to solves as you, the professional persuader.” 

Kita tahu kita boleh tolong orang selesaikan masalah tu so jangan takut untuk menjual. 


“In sales you don’t have to wait for things to happen; you can make things happen. When business is slow, you can go out and stir the marketplace and get it into action. You can have greater control of your life and your future, and that is a secure feeling.” 

“Sales professionals must know how to persuade others if they’re going to convince people to buy.” 

Persuasion skills, commitment, and discipline.

Sebagai seorang sales professional, apa skills yang diperlukan? 

1. Listening 

Skill mendengar ni sangat penting sebab kita nak tahu apa keperluan prospect, apa yang dia cari, dan apa yang dia mahukan. Lebih dalam kita tahu apa prospek kita nak, kita akan tahu apa solution yang sesuai dengan dia. 

“Talking is sharing, but listening is caring.” 

2. Reciprocity 

“When we carefully ‘listen’ to the prospect’s elaborate interests, desires, hobbies, and other thoughts, we are putting them in debt to us. They have a feeling they ‘owe’ us something, and consequently, they are more willing to ‘listen’ to our story since we have given them the courtesy of listening to them.” 

Salah satu pesanan Zig Ziglar yang saya suka dalam buku ni adalah,

“The successful sales professional knows and understands the sales credo: You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” 

Help enough people to get what they want, then you can have everything in your life. 

Tolong orang capai apa yang mereka nak, then kita pun akan capai apa yang kita nak. 

Kena ingat yang menjual ni adalah kerja yang bagus. Kalau solution kita betul – betul boleh membantu prospek kita, jual je!
